Lose Fat but Keep or Increase Muscle

Hello all,

My boyfriend is trying to maintain or increase his muscle mass but also lose fat. He is currently eating every 3 hours (lots of chicken, sweet potatoes, rice, etc), and he is also getting about 200 grams of protein a day. He lifts weight about 4 times a week and gets cardio a couple times a week.

With this plan it seems that he is not losing any fat. Any advise on how to lose the fat but keep the muscle would be greatly appreciated.

I would say hes eating too much, 200 grams a day is too much unless hes a professional body builder.
