I've been working more on the Elliptical machine in the recent month. Over the past week I noticed my right toes getting numb or tingley after about 5 minutes on it.. Today i was 8 minutes into my session and both my feet started to get that asleep tingley feeling. It doesn't hurt its just un nerving.

any thoughts?

maybe it has something to do with the way you are standing. Are you having to stand farther apart than your used to? I don't know maybe something to do with your shoes. Sorry I don't have any real advice for you.

Unfortunately, the leg / ankle position "geometry" on elliptical machines isn't the same for all machines. Some have more feet / ankle motions and some force more up/down leg motion. Each Elliptical machine is designed slightly differently. During the years, I found that some human body's can handle their Elliptical machine and others' cannot. It depends on one's unique body and the unique geometry of their specific Elliptical machine.

The "tingling" in certain body parts is sometimes from a minor pinched nerve. Or, putting the feet / ankle into a body position it doesn't like anymore (especially over a long period of time). The "tingling" or pain feeling is an early warning of the human body stating, "hey man, I don't like doing this anymore". Ya. Sounds corny but its true. The body is telling you to do less time / less distance - on this unique body position.

As a suggestion, do less and less Elliptical machine time. Try 1 time every other day. Or, 1 time every 3 days. For the other days, may I suggest an exercise that uses different body positions. Like walking, swimming or some other task that works different parts of the body.

As my doctor often says, "if it hurts, don't do it". Same holds true for "tingling" feelings in specific body parts as well...

Hope this helps...
