How do i lose...?

in my opinion i have fat thighs and that's what makes me feel fat
i have huge hips I'm a size 13 in jeans
all because i have huge thighs & hips

i was wondering if any of you knew of a way i can lose my enormous thighs and hips

[i started exercising]

i wanted to know if there was a specific exercise i could do to work on that specific area [my thighs and hips]

i dont want to build muscle in my thighs
i want them to shrink

[& i have heard that running and jogging just builds muscle and will make me get bigger thighs am i right?]
 
spend some time reading the stickied threads around the forum...

there are a few things you will learn.

spot reducing - not possible - fat will come off where it comes off.. change your habits and the fat will come off..

Women ( you are female right) do not have the genetics to get bulky without help... Weight training is good for you -- good for weight loss and long term fitness.

Sweetie, you've been posting the same questions over and over on the board since the beginning of May. I know I've responded to at least 3 of your threads, giving advice and offering suggestions. I know that many others have, too.

I get the feeling that you're looking for some kind of quick fix or magic bullet. I know you're young (16 right?) and I know that at that age sometimes you just don't think you can't live another minute unless things change RIGHT NOW.

But you've been given some really good advice in your other threads. Eat healthily (and reasonable amounts), exercise, and the weight will come off. You can't target it, you can't "spot tone", you can't lose weight eating nachos every day ... all of those things.

Read the advice people have given you and really pay attention and follow it and I PROMISE the weight will come off. In the nearly 2 months since the first time you posted you could have been following this advice and have lost a nice bit of weight ... instead of asking for an answer you're not going to get over and over again.
 
Kara is right in that there is no easy answer or magic potion you can take to get rid of fat thighs.... .you just need to eat right and work your butt off!!!!!


none of us would be here doing the things we are if it were easy... however once you get started... it wont feel like such a chore to work out and eat right... it will seem more like a new lifestyle. Kudos to you though sweetie... you are young and trying to figure this all out now.


you can do it! keep your head on straight and your mind set toward making your goals!!! :)
