Difference in Studying/Testing for different Certification Programs

I literally know nothing. What sort of studying goes into each certification? Are some harder than others? Are we talking 4 weeks? 4 months? What do the tests look like?

There is a huge variety in certifying agencies and a lot also depends on which country you are in. In the US certification requirements range from a simple online test up to well formulated training with both physical and written study.

In Australia, where I am, qualifications are standardised but the quality of training providers vary, with some skimping on the practical aspect of the course which can be a Cert III, Cert IV or Diploma in fitness. Separate to this is coaching certification which requires bot written and practical training and testing for the specific sport according to the Australian Sports Commission requirements (this is an add on for Personal trainers) but to be registered as a coach (not just earning the certificate) you need to complete hours of supervised coaching both in and out of competition.
