Ok, so I'm 16 y/o, 6 ft 1 and around 187 lbs.
I'm in weights class, designed for the highschool football team, so they actually DO work you in this class.
Here's what doesn't add up:
I can lift as much or more as most of the football team kids except for bench. For some reason I can't bench more than 95 lbs, it's so unproportional compared to my other lifting abilities and the fact that I have decent sized pectoral muscles.
My coach mentioned something about my height or arm length having something to do with it- apparently it takes longer for me to develop strength due to my long arms/ larger upper body or something. He touched on it very briefly and he's now on holiday so I can't ask him.
Another thing, my powerclean is a good 130+ lbs, when my squat max is probably around 115 (though I haven't tested it completely yet). Powerclean is like a 2 part jump/squat, so I don't know how I can powerclean decent weight but not squat that much.
Any ideas??
