Dude, you have great genetics. What do you want to do? What look are you going for?

For a lean slim look more cardio and stuff ala treadmill, kickbox, bike, jump rope, stairs etc... Very strict diet.

For a thicker more muscular look add in lifting weights and eating more protein.

For you probably a good overall workout of lifting, core training and cardio would do the job. It all depends on the look you want. You have long arms, you could go the skinny long shredded to the bone Tommy Lee look. Very striking, commands attention. Or you can pack on some muscle and go for the Brad Pitt in Troy look. Personally I think Brad looks cooler thinner ala Fight Club. Just shredded to peices and very flat looking from the side on profile shots. You can sometimes lose that when you start to do to much weight training. Trust me I know from experience. It all depends on what your vision is.

Hi thanks hollywood i dont want to go like bradd in troy nor in fight club but i want to be a bradd somewhere inbetween if u understand what i mean lol. i preferably need something i can do at home or that i can do weights at school untill i can get some "home" weights (which would you reccomend and where from in uk? if u know of any thanks)

1 thing i dont like on me and want to tone up is the top half of my front as it just looks a bit 'drab' but will this happen as i do the other exercises aswell or will i hav 2 do something else?

i still want the inbetween look though

sorry if i dont understand sometimes as im quite new to this lol

thanks again hollywood and i await your reply (or anyone elses)

thanks

Since your new to this, i suggest you read around these forums and many other fitness sites as much as you can, ask a lot of questions and than go from there. Make a schedule, a diet, execute and youll get to where you want to be. Research everything properly before you start, you dont want to waste time doing things wrong and gettin no where.

Good luck

well i think ive sorted out a bit of my routene

1st things 1st im goin to start doing a 30min run in the morning on monday, wednesday and friday (is this too much or too little)

then later on i will do weights for an hour but i havnt really got an idea as to what to do with weights so if anyone can help with that that'd be great

then ill just reduce the amount i eat chocolate wise ect

any more help will be appreciated

thanks

You have a great base to work off.

30 minutes three times a week should be fine. If your just starting out keep an eye on your running form, use decent trainers/sneakers etc.

As for weights, the sooner you get into them the sooner it all begins ;)

Head on over to the weights forum, loads of ideas there for exercises and workout plans.

Oh, and this golden link someone here once showed me ->

OKOK ! hi everyone ignore the post above. Ok it is now 2 months down the line since starting my training heres some pics of what i look like now>>>

Can you see any differences from this to the ones above please be honest? tell me what else i should be doing

thankyou

p.s i think i can see just a slight difference but not sure ill let you decide

i dont really have any advice especially because im focused on different things than you, but wanted to mention that i defintely see a change in the chest area and in the shoulders. You look like you have more muscle there. and looks like your posture has gotten better as well. looks good! :) keep up the good work.

One big thing with looking at before and after shots of yourself is that your brain very rarely notices a large differece. But, to an eye that does not focus on you all that often, will notice much more of a change.

I can tell you that your chest has grown immensely and you are builing and toning right up.

Jump on the good food wagon (bulk), plenty of protein, good fats and cals etc etc, give 6 months with a proper workout and you will be a damn tank :)

good work champ.

Steve.

I had to check your first and second pictures in order to verify the dates...let me get this straight...you lost 14 lbs in 22 days? How the eff did you do that?

Fly definately called it right...you have some good genes, and right now is a good base to begin building a better body.

hi everyone thanks for the comments so far

well i started training a week before i went for a week in Germany on a music trip with my school and at the hotel the food was absolutly rubbish so i ate no sugar n just had bare minimum and we also went swimming round places for around 3 hours and we were lugging heavy instruments n stuff around so all in all it was kind of like a fitness week aswell, it seemed to work n after i came back i checked my weight n i had lost that much i also carried on after the holiday in eating no sugars and eating a good diet aswell, it wasnt even intentional but well worth it. but thanks will keep on with the training, reading the posts really keep my self esteam(spelling?? ) up so thumbs up to everyone whos commented and ill keep you posted every month.

THANKS:D

Yeah man, deffinately looking good. Gonna second what people have said about you looking bulkier up top and leaner in the mid, good work. BTW, for self-analysis of progress pay attention to how your clothes fit, that and the opinion of others is about the best gauge you have IMO.

hi everyone thanks for all the comments so far, but can anyone possibly predict my body fat percentage of that pic? or is it impossible. thanks in advance :D
