hi.........help needed

Hi, My name is Stan. Relatively medium frame, 5'10 and weigh 175 lbs. I was 150 lbs around Jan but slogging at home for 2 months shot my weight all the way upto 78 kg. I tried running outdoors for sometime, but nothing happened. Other issue that I have is that I have surprisingly large hip, buttocks and thighs for my body size. My overall strength is low as I can barely do 5 push ups.
All my trousers, jeans are still safely tucked up in the cupboard .. hoping to use them in the near future.
Couold some one share info on how to reduce my fat, overall and particulary on those areas..

All the success stories on this forum has really brougth a divine light and I am hoping some of you could share their experience on how to bring my body back into shape..

THanks..
Stan....

If you're looking to lose weight then in my opinion you need to do some sort of cardio.
I know running might not seem like its not doing much but if you keep running or jogging then you will eventually get used to it and it will help you out a lot, You would have to eat healthy to make sure you dont regain that weight.
After winter was over with, it took me a week of constant jogging to get my body used to it again and now I can run long distances again so all it takes is some dedication, being focused and the will to make sure your body stays in shape and you will like the results.

This is just my recommendation is to just continue trying to jog while also eating healthy and doing some exercises.

Hope that helps.

Nutrition will be about 70% of the story, and activity will be the other 30%.

I highly recommend a strength-based routine to maintain muscle mass. Any metabolic conditioning (such as running, interval training or low intensity resistance training) should be secondary to strength training. The same training stimulus that will cause muscle growth when in a caloric surplus will also cause maintenance of muscle when in a caloric deficit. If you maintain muscle mass then you will maintain your metabolism a lot better than if you start losing muscle mass. And, obviously, if your goal is to decrease bodyfat, then you want as much of the weight lost to be fat mass, and as little of it to be muscle mass as possible.

Since you haven't addressed your current eating habits, it's hard to make comments on this. But reducing total caloric intake by about 20% from what it is now, while having plenty of vegetables and a moderate amount of fruit, meat and dairy will put you on the right track.

Thanks guys...
Just joined a gym yest.. Initial analysis found out that I had excess fat of 34 lbs, weakened legs, huge fat around waist and hip. The trainer suggested for a cardio routine for the first 2 days. I could do a 6 km speed walk for only 20 min. After that my calf bones started to weaken. I got a feeling that they were about to crumble. I had the stamina to continue but couldn't because of this.
@ Ryan - My diet is roughly - lukewarm water with honey for breakfast, rice with some veggies for lunch and normally a heavy dinner.
