Title: How Many Daily Fat Grams Is Max For Weightloss?

I am diligently working out to lose weight and have changed my entire way of eating (for life), but on a 1300 calorie daily intake, how many fat grams is maximum for me?
And, if you know, would you please give me the "math of it" so i can calculate my percentage of fat grams to total calorie intake so i can keep an accurate track of my daily fat gram intake~thanks for any help I get!

1300? No no no... you expect to live on 1300 Calories a day for the rest of your life?

Make sure you're getting atleast somewhere around 1600-2000, daily, if your Goal is weight loss. The slower you lose it, the more likely it is that you'll be losing Fat, and not Muscle, hence closer to 2000 is recommended.

Once you've reached your desired "Weight", you need to up your Calorie intake until you reach "Maintenance Level", which is the point where you're eating the same amount of Calories as you're burning daily. Slowly raise your Caloric intake by about 100-300 Calories a week, until your weight starts becoming more consistent.

As for Fat Grams, your Diet should consist of somewhere around 15-30% Fat, depending on alot of different things. You should probably start with 20%; on a 2000 Calorie Diet, 20% would be about 44g or so. There's 4 Calories in 1g Carbs, 4 Calories in 1g Protein, and 9 Calories in 1g of Fat. As long as you avoid Saturated Fats, then you shouldn't worry so much about Fat Intake. Your real enemy is Simple Sugars; they're the major cause of Fat Storage.

I also forgot to mention you should Weigh Yourself regularly. Stick with a Diet for about 1 week, and see how much you've lost. If you've lost 1 pound in that week, you're right where you should be. If you've lost more, then raise your Calorie intake. If you've lost less than 1 pound, then very slightly decrease your Calorie intake. Constant watching is the only true way to determine how many Calories you should be taking in. But it'll be in the general vicinity of 1800.

You should also try 6 meals instead of 3, it helps burn Calories, as your body's working more frequently to absorb the food. It also keeps your energy levels stable, which is very important. One meal every 2-3 hours is good.
