Title: Supplements hello! i'm 36 yrs old, 5'9 150, 30w, well proportioned --most of my friends tells me i'm in very good shape and well built. I have been going to the gym on a regular basis--(every other day)--for the last 2.5 years and I have made good improvements with my built. I have been checking my body fat contents using this hand held calculator at my gym and it's been averaging between 5-7%. My routine are usually consist of running on the threadmill for 15-20 minutes and weight training for at least 1-1.5 hours (mostly upper body since the lower part of my body is in pretty good shape). I think i've reached my goal of improving my built compare to what I look like few years ago. My new goal now is to add more weight (muscles). At least 10-15#'s muscles. I don't really have a particular diet. (Thanks to my parent's genes, at 36, my metabolism is pretty high. Or at least I think that's what helping me. Basically, I eat and drink what I want). Now here's where I need help. I want to start taking "supplements" like "weight gainer drinks" to achieve my goal. I've been to health stores (GNC) so many times but with so many products, I don't know where to start and I get lost in the store. Just fyi! I'm lactose intolerant. I'm hoping someone here can give me advice on what kind of supplements" I should start with. Mahalo! If you use it regularly, you will put on a good 5-10lbs easily. Another excellent supplement is Glutamine. It will help you recover more quickly from workouts and help your body keep that hard earned muscle. Last, but certainly not least, and perhaps one of the most important supplements is protein. Since you want to pack on some muscle and you have a high metabolism, take about 3 protein drinks per day. You muscles need a lot of protein in order to keep growing.
