Title: Peanut Butter? I used to put peanut butter on veggies or fruit as a snack. But b/c of the fat and calories, I've become more hesitant. How often is too often for peanut butter and is organic or low fat better for you? Name: Natalie Date: Jul. 25th, 2001 Title: Re: Peanut Butter? I would view peanut butter similarly to ice cream. Ice cream has more sugar, but the fat/protein percentages can be similar. Organic peanut butter is no different nutritionally than regular. (Uh oh, I think my earthy-crunchy license may have just expired). Low fat just replaces some of the fat with sugar and isn't much different either. If by putting peanut butter on carrots, celery, etc gets you to eat fiber and those vegetables, then definitely don't cut it out entirely. Just moderate it so that you get the flavor, but not so much that it drowns out the vegetables. Hope that helps.
