BREAD Vs BREADi've heard that WHOLE WHEAT BREAD is better to eat than WHITE BREAD, which makes a little sense to me, but what is the difference? is it just that whole wheat bread may have more nutrients than enriched white bread? or is it something to do with the carbs in each kind? it would still be okay to eat enriched white bread though, right?

White bread has far less Carbs then whole wheat, plus it has way more starch.
starch turns into sugar(glucose) which is used for energy. energy which could have been taken from fat.

It's all about fiber. Whole grains have it. White bread doesn't (or more accurately has much less.)
Fiber is a more complex carbohydrate. Of course most people are aware of fiber for its benifits in digestion, but more complex carbs are also good in maintaining a regulated blood sugar level (less spiking than when you consume sugar or simpler carbs.)

But what if you are trying to cut down your daily calorie intake, wouldn't it then be better to eat low-carb (= white) instead of high-carb bread (= whole grain)?
