Title: Metabolism I'm big into working out and I want to cut down. My only question is will drinking water increase my metabolism? I want to see my abs and slim out my pecs. Drinking water is always a good thing but the colder the better...your bady has to heat itself up which will cause your metabolism to increase. The calories needed to heat the water would be next to nothing. If your goal is cutting, keep up with your regular workout schedule, but reduce the Calories in your diet, while also keeping up your Protein intake.
