Gluten Free DietsHi! I am 31 years old and have a condition called Celiac Sprue (had for 5 years) which prevents me from eating anything made from Wheat, Rye, Oats, or Barley. What does this leave? Basically I need to make my own breads with Rice and Tapioca flours as well as Potato flour.
I don't know how many calories these flours are nor how to calculate my recipes on how much calories/fat or anything these breads have.
My question is: Do you have any diets that would help me loose a few lbs. that do not contain the normal wheat based foods. A lot of recipes I see say have cereal (which I can not) for breakfast, a piece of toast (which I can't), etc. Please help. I also can not avoid meats due to iron deficiencies.
If you have a way to calculate the calories for recipes that would be helpful too.
