Title: Afternoon Runs I am a teacher who stands on my feet the entire day. I try to go running everyday after work, but find my energy depleted. What would be a lunch and afternoon snack that would give me energy to run at least 4 miles around 4:00pm? ~Michele Name: Michele Date: May. 18th, 2001 Title: Re: Afternoon Runs Drink more water during the day and you'll find you're more energetic, and have less muscle pain when you want to go running. Also, as an afternoon snack, try 1/2 cup of peanuts, almonds, or cashews. Alternatively, any kind of grain mix with nuts should do the trick.
