For home exercise, trying doing dips between two chairs and also close grip push ups. However, it just may be the case that the muscle fibers in your chest are less dense than other areas of your body(genetics) which would make it much more difficult to acheive a certain goal. I know, I have the same issue and I have been lifting for several years

Don't waste your time with lower powerr factor exercises. Also go with a rep pattern of 8-12. Here's what I think the best chest exercises are.
    1. medium grip bench press(not dumbell)
    2. Incline press
    3. Dips.(knees up, head faced straightdown, bck straight).
    4. Decline press
    5. Cable cross overs.

    Tempo is vital when lifting:
Keep he eccentric(negative) movement at about 3-4 seconds. (your muscles gain size from the amount of time they are under work). keep the concentric(positve) movement at about 2 seconds.

Try something like this:(if you can)
E1.) Incline Press 3 sets 10-12 reps Rest: 1:00 NOTE: the twelth rep should be extremely difficult. If it isn't you need to go up in weight. Also, you shouldn't be able to perform more than ten on the final set.

    E2.) Dips 3 sets 10 reps Rest:30-45 secs.

    E3.) Flat bench 3 sets 10-12 reps Rest 1:30

E4.) Pec Dec or cable cross overs 2 sets 10-12 reps :30 secs of rest.
