Title: **Hey! I Heard You Wanted To Help A Teen In Need!**

Hey,
I have written on here numerous times. but never ever have I gotten an answer that I can honestly use. Here's the deal. I am 17 years of age and am struggling with my weight. I am not extremely overweight, but I am quite some punds more than I should be. I'd like to lose some weight in time for the nice summer weather but I don't know what rode to take that will be both healthy and beneficial In order for this advice to work, I guess I'd better give you my details.
****I dieted a couple years ago and lost 30 pounds. However, my hair fell out and my periods stopped so i was advized to stop my diet. (It was a strict calculation of fat and calorie grams and intensive exercise)
**** I then gained back some of it, once I was forced to stop the diet by my mom and doctor.
***I am now ready to start yet another diet...and I need help!
I am about 5'7 and have a medium body build. i am somewhat active(i cheerlead, dance, twirl baton, and I walk) and I shall give you a range of my weight 160-170
and as said before 17 years old.

    Its not you havent gotten info cant use, its just that you havent heard the answers you wanted to hear. You want t simple, quick fix answer and there just isnt one. Get your ass on a regular, year-round exercise schedule with a proper nutrition. "Diet" is abad word. It is a process, not an event.

    Since your doctor forced you off your last diet he should be the one to tell you exactly what you should do. He/she can tell you how many calories, fat, carbs and how much exercise you can do to lose the weight way better than anyone on any fitness board.

    Hey lizzyrose,
    Its simple. I am about 5'5" and I was around your weight and I dance and cheerlead also. All you have to do is eat breakfast like a king,lucnh like a princess adn dinner like a slave. The reason for thid is that if u eat a big breakfast u have time to burn of the calories,and the reason to eat a small dinner is because u dont go to sleep with so many calories in ur body. Eat a breakfast of EGG WHITES,toast,a bananna and orange juice.HAve a lunch that consists of a wheat bread sandwich with turkey miracle whip and a slice of cheese or a chicken salad w/ water.For dinner have a salad with a peice of meat or chicken the size of ur palm(if cooked on a pan, use olive oil),again,w/water. If u want taste to ur salad, the best dressing to have is balaslmic vinegar. In between breakfast and lunch and dinner and lunch have a light snack of an apple or bananna or apple sauce. Also, a good workout will help u loose fat and unwanted cellulite. the best thing to do is to do intervals of running and walking for an hour.Start of with 4 minutes of brisk walking, then run for one minute, then walk briskly for two and so forth. WHen walking and running, swing arms for better momentum and to work ur arms and oblecks. drink lotz of water ur welcome bye

      What I didn't hear on the advice was a BIG one. NO SODAS AND NO JUNK FOOD! I work in a high school and notice lots of teens skip lunch and replace it with vendor machine food and pop (thinking pop has no fat!!) Skip between meal junk, pop! and get off your butt! Not computer over 1/2hr. or tv!
