I am 14, 5'5 and i weigh 177. Please help me and give me tips on losing weight . Thanx

    listen, I too am a teenager concerned with my weight and I know how hard it is to lose weight. At this age, people are constantly feeding us with this "eat more protein less carb crap" and so many calories a day junk. But it's hard to whip out a piece of paper and count your calories over a very unflavorfull salad while your frineds are enjoying a bacon cheesburger with fries and a soft drink. But nowhere on your birth certificate did it say that life was fair...so yes, we do have to do the work to look and feel good while our size 8 friends chow down in front of the T.V. watching TRL. So, I am here to help. About a year back, my friend and I began a diet and exercise program. We both lost the same amount of weight in the same amount of time(30 pounds) But heres the difference. I was calorie and Fat obssesive and restricted myself to only that amount. My bud, however, didn't count not one calorei or fat gram and lost the same amount...but was happier doing it! See, her method was simply eating healthier...skim milk instead of regular, pretzels instead of chips...and we walked a little bit each day after school. For her, the weightloss was painless, like it should be.
    so that's what I advise you to do. Start with some small steps and just watch portions and what kind of foods you are eating. and a little bit of exercise can go a long way.

    Take your time and make sure you are doing it for yourself, and no one else. And when you are satisfied with your body, then you know you have succeeded.
