Title: I Have Many Weight Loss Questions my weight is 182 and i am 5 ft 3 in.I was always a size 7 normal until about a year ago i gained 50 some pounds in no time at all maybe due to depressant med i am taking. I recently went to a weight loss clinic and got a drug called adipex to help control my weight.I also started on a 1,600 cal a day diet.i can eat 71 g carbs,21g protein,14g fat at each meal also i eat 500 cal at each of my three meals a day.I am doing full exercise videos twice a week along with doing my normal shopping cleaning,walking and so on I am sure i need to exercise more Does anyone know if i am doing and going about this weight loss the right way any pointers or comments will be greatly appreciated Name: brenda Date: Mar. 27th, 2001 Title: Re: I Have Many Weight Loss Questions The weight gain probably is from the depressent meds, this happened to my close friend. She is off them now and back to working and she is losing the weight. I don't know anything about the weight loss pill you are taking. Are you sure you really need to be taking them? The amount of calories you are taking in should work, but you could always break them down some so you could have a snack during the day so you want be so hungry during your main meals. For me to lose weight I have to work out more than 2 days a week that just doesn't work for me. Try adding more days. If you can do 5 days a week and also do some toning. I know this isn't much advice its just my thoughts and I hope a fitness expert reads your message. Firstly ensure your gains have not been the result of a medical condition. Drink heaps of water ( approx 3 litres/day). Try and work out in the morning if you can on an empty stomach and delay your first meal by as much as an hour if possible. Do some resistance training as well as your cardio (You'll need to up your anti to say 4-5 times/week, all up about 3 hours/week), eating the same calories as you are now however spread your meals eating 5-6 times a day if you can and try upping your protein and reducing your carbs. Try positive imaging and draw on your inner strenght(you have it wheather you know it or not.)Meditate. Be patient and best of luck and God bless.
