Title: Diet Tips okay i started taking metbolife, i took it before but had to stop because i started having problems. The md said it was due to me taking them on an empty stomach. So I stopped for a few months and now i just getting to be too much. I'm 5'4, 23 yrs old and 175 pounds. SO for the past few weeks I've cut back on what i eat, stop drinking sodas, starting eating fruits more instead of chips(i still eat pieces of candy though), and i eat by about 7:15. I took my weight about two weeks ago and it was 175. i'm taking the pills, i've started running on one of exercise bikes(i decided to stop taking the pills today) and i changed my eating habits and everything(for diiner at 7:15 all i eat is a salad and two pieces of toast). last night i took my weight i'm at 178. I gained three pounds I dont understand. Please give me some advice. one friend told me that drinking lemon juice after meals cuts calories and another said drinking water with ateaspoon of vinegar in it will help also. do they and which is more effective. Drink lots of water all day - part of your weight increase could be attributed to your body retaining water to make up for what you are missing. 2. Eliminate 3 squares a day, instead think of grazing - eat every couple of hours (smaller portions, no bigger than your fist)and drink water with each graze. 3. You are eating too late in the day. Eating at 7.15 is pointless as this is roughly the time that you are entering into the slowest part of your day. How is your body going to metabolize your dinner if all you do is eat and then sit. 4. Forget the diet pills. Effective weight loss starts with a realistic goal and changing of your eating and exercise habits. Cardio workouts will provide you with the quickest results, word of caution, because of your current weight status, you should consult with your doctor on a proper plan. And if you can afford it go to a gym and get a personal evaluation / exercise program establish. An effective weight loss program that includes exercise and a proper eating regime should yield you the results that you are seeking. Once you are up and running, you should realize a weight loss of 1 - 2 lbs per week. Anything above that can be dangerous to your health. One rule that I stick to is never to eat any carbohydrates after 3 pm. You will be amazed.... And remember drink lots of water and don't forget to take a good multi-vitamin. Good luck.
