    Hope this helps. ~There are two types of fiber: Soluble and Insoluble. Both important. Insoluble fiber is important in the diet and provides benefits to the digestive system by helping maintain regularity. Soluble fiber has some additional benefits to heart health. Soluble fiber is scientifically proven to reduce blood cholesterol levels, which may reduce your risk of heart disease. We should all eat 20-35 grams of fiber each day including both soluble and insoluble fiber.
