Building MassHello I'm a 5'8 130 lbs male planning on starting weight training. I wanna gain muscle mass and I'm wondering if you can tell me if using Muscle Tech's cell-tech and nitro-tech is a good idea for starting out. Are there any side-affects to taking protein supplements?

Hey Mike. I too am looking to get bigger so I started both weight training and doing cardio work. I also take protein powder twice a day but it's not by Muscle Tech, it's by Twinlabs and is called Super Whey Fuel. I didn't like the idea of Muscle Tech's protein because I wasn't sure if it had been maniupulated in some lab somewhere. So I stick with whey protein. I'm also going to start taking Endurox R4 because it contains 50g of carbs and 20g of protein which is a 4 to 1 ratio which is recommended for a better muscle recovery. You also need to take some vitamins, eat right, and get to sleep early. All these things can aid in getting bigger. Stick with it and you'll see results! I know I did!

Hello Mike,
Believe it or not, the most important things you need to focus on when building mass are adequate training, adequate rest, and adequate caloric intake. It is that simple. Supplementation should be just that - a supplement to a solid program.
If you make sure that you up your caloric intake to support a high intensity muscle building progam, the need for supplementation is quite low. My adivce to all of my clients that want muscle mass is simlpy - EAT MORE. Usually they get only about 60-70% of their daily caloric needs prior to working with me.
For most of them, proper caloric intake is their biggest limiting factor.
