Title:
How Many Fat Grams And CaloriesI am a 35-year-old female with two children. I'm 5'7" and weigh 125. I eat app. 20-30 grams of fat and 1700-2200 calories a day. I exercise 3-4 times and week and chase my children the other days. Am I getting enough fat grams and calories a day or do I need to up it?

Title: Re: How Many Fat Grams And Calories
The question of whether or not you should take in more fat and/or calories depends on two things:
1. What kind of exercise do you do? Is it more cardio, or more wight lifting? If it's more cardio, then maybe a little more calories (from carbohydrtaes or monounsaturated fat) might help. Or are you lifting more weights? If it's more weight lifting, then take in a little more protein in the form of lean meats. This will help in muscle recovery AND deliver the extra calories.
And number
2. How do you feel? Do you feel sluggish all the time, or do you feel pretty full of energy. If you go from day-to-day feeling fine, then there is no reason to take in more calories. If you feel like the diet you have now works, then stick to it. But, if you do feel a little sluggish, read number 1.
I hope I have helped a little. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me.
