Hi!
protein is very important. Protein is used by ur muscles to rebuild itself. U need to have protein right after ur workout ( chicken is a very good source of that ).
do a search on the net for protein and see what u get. if u are a beginner, do not go for those shakes. they are for more advanced ppl.

Protein is very important because when you exercise you break down the muscle fibers and protein aids in rebuilding those muscle fibers. My favorite post-workout meal consists of a tuna sandwich and a powerbar. A tuna sandwich delivers roughly 40 grams of protein, 200 calories, 30 carbs, and 4-5 fat grams. The power bar is packed with vitamins and 10 grams of protein, 220 calories, 40 carbs, and 2-3 fat grams. Muscles need more than JUST protein to rebuild. They need carbs, too.
