Title: How Much Should I Eat? I have recently lost 14 pounds in 3 weeks by eating about 1000 calories a day. But, when I weighed myself this week, I didn't loose any! I keep reading that our bodies will rebel against weight loss if it thinks it is starving. So how much should I eat to get a proper response by my body? I am 5 feet 3 inches I weigh 155 Thanks for answering!!! Name: Jen Date: Feb. 6th, 2001 Title: Re: How Much Should I Eat? Iam not an expert, but I would say you probably need to eat just a few more calories a day. Iam also dieting and I take in 1300 and sometimes 1500 calories a day. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and finally dinner! I work out 5 days a week for atleast 30 minutes sometimes 45, depends on my mood. I try not to weigh myself every week cause it can really bring me down. At first I put on 2 pounds which I believe is muscle gain and now losing a pound a week. I have heard you come to point where you do stop seeing the pounds come off and at that time you need to change your exercises, I guess give your body a shock. If you are not exercising START that way you will lose more and keep off with what you have already lost, don't give up it's well worth it! I went up a pound the other week and it was very stressful, but I lost it. Iam not going to let it get me down I can do it! Hopefully someone with more knowledge can help you more with your question. Good Luck!!! Date: Feb. 6th, 2001 Title: Re: How Much Should I Eat? I'm not an expert either, but I think anything under 1200 calories is considered almost starvation. I could not deal with counting calories or weighing myself all the time, either, but if it motivates you in a good way then that's great. Good luck! > Iam not an expert, but I would say you probably need to eat just a few more calories a day. Iam also dieting and I take in 1300 and sometimes 1500 calories a day.
