Title:
Stomach BloatingHello, I am 36 years old and have never had kids, yet I have this pooch. What can I do to get back my flat stomach. I feel like I am always bloated. Do you think it is carb related? Please help.

Lisa,
I, too am in the same position as you. I am also 36, used to have a flat stomach and now ALWAYS feel bloated and have the pot belly that you describe. I have tried increasing my water intake, adding protein, and have now started on an over the counter carbohydrate "cutter" to see if that will help. I believe that in some way it is all carb-related since I tend to crave them, yet do not eat them in excess. I only wish I had an answer for both of us. Can anyone out there help?

O.k. Here is my experience. I am 40 years olds. I"ve had 2c-sections. I thought i would NEVER get rid of my pooch. Here is what i have found to help me. 1.Cut out all bread and starches, esp white bread. 2. eat pasta only during lunch, never at dinner. 3. do not eat anything after dinner, or 4 hours before going to bed, that's the real hard one. If you need help with that one, try drinking water every time you have the need to snack, or have a fruit. 4. Birth-control pills, they do give you alittle bit of bloat, so if you are on them that is a point against you. 5. excercise those abs. that's all i can think of what has helped me. I used to weigh 120 with a lot of bloat. I tried all these things, i know weigh 114. My belly is not as puffy and I have been working my abs and they feel and look tighter. BUT, I also stopped taking birth- control pills, my weight went to 110, and my tummy was really flat. But because of medical reasons, I had to go back on them and now I weigh 114, and my tummy isn't as flat. BUT< iam not going to let this beat me, i started a new excercise regimen that really kicks butt in the abs. and I HOpe by summer the rest of the bloat is gone.
