Title: Fast Weight Loss

I am currently about 80 lbs overweight and just started to SERIOUSLY diet about 2 weeks ago, but I have only a basic knowledge of nutrition. I've been eating foods with either 0 or very little sat. fat. Will someone tell me the BEST way to burn fat from my belly. :> I am totally commited to this diet and will eat dirt if that's what it takes. I want to lose this weight as fast as possible. I don't want to lose 4 lbs a month over the next 20 months. I would like to be able to lose 10+ lbs a month. What is the best way to SAFELY get this off? I've gotten lots of different advise on this. Low carbs, low sat. fat, low calories, low protein. What amount of each should I consume? Help me PLEASE!!!

    Hi,
You basically got the right Idea. Just make sure you burn off more calories than you take in. Exercise is a must in my opinion. At the least do three 45 minute workouts a week....for example walking, stationary bike, jogging, treadmill, etc. etc. You get the picture. Also a little weight lifting wouldn't hurt...don't use heavy weights...use light weights and do plenty of reps of which ever you do. This will help tone you up. Also get plenty of protein. Well thats about all I know. I'm sure some others on this site will know more.

Hi, What I found that helped me with shedding off 70 pounds was, drinking a gallon of water a day. You must work out. There is no way around it. You can cut out your carbs and lose weight, but you will gain it right back. With working out you will be able to keep the weight off. One more thing. The slower the better. I know you heard this before. "you did not gain the weight over night, and you will not lose it over night". Whatever changes you make, make it be changes that will last a life time. If you lose the weight slow, you will be able to keep it off

      Hello,
Also, continuing on the path of the last emailer, eating 5 to 6 small meals daily will help keep your metabolism going. Keeping portion size to the size of your palm or clinched fist can help cut down the amount of food you intake. You may also consider having one cheat day a week to satisfy any craving you may have had during the previous week. Last, but not least, drinking a lot of water is a must (at least 64 oz). Hope that helps. Good Luck! ;)
