Title: DIET

I have a thirteen year old son who is over weight. And I'm really worried about him. I would like to know if there is a diet that he can use to lose weight? Also he wants to start lifting weights. Is it safe for him?

What is he eating??? Is he getting enough exercise??? Try not to put him on a 'restricted' diet because he will just rebel and eat all the junkfood anyway. Try to be sure that he eats balanced meals (fruites, veggies, protein, carbs etc.).

Before setting him on any exercise routine, especially weights - he should be getting appropriate training from a trainer at a gym!!! He needs to be trained appropriately so that he does not hurt himself (as does anyone). I know my gym does not allow teens until they are 13 AND they have taken special classes and had training!!!!

    GOOD LUCK!!!!
