Title: Orange Juice

Hi
I've got a little question and hope anyone here can help me. I want to have nice abdominal muscles and I'm getting there quite fast. I stopped drinking coke since I've heard it's not good for my purpose. My question is, how good is 100% natural squeezed orange juice comparing to coke? And to water?

well I have been working with a trainer for quiet some time, and am going in the profetion for myself, 100% orange jucie will not hurt you that much if any, the best will alwayse be water, but sometimes you just need a change so if you like 100% jucie go for it

6 oz. of 100% orange juice is equivalent to one whole fruit or 60 calories from Carbohydrate. You will receive Vitamin C and if you need the carbs or calories, go for it.

Hi there. First off, to get your body fat down you must keep blood insulin levels staedy and low. A Coke is packed with the sugar Sucrose which is a very high GI carb. Oranges on the other hand are packed with fructose which is a much lower Gi carb and will not have the same glycemic impact as the Coke. Thus, keeping insulin levels lower. However, Fruit juice needs to be in small amounts because it can cause an insulin spike if one consumes to much. Your best bet we be to eat an orange and drink H2O wih it. Juice has less fiber thus is more rapidly injested. If you must have juice I recommend mixing 4oz. of fresh squeezed juice w/ 4-8oz. of water.
    Good luck and work hard,

*sigh* Lets take a look at
      this from a logical
      standpoint. If you squeeze 6
or 7 oranges to get a small
      glass of "fresh squeezed
      OJ" you are getting the
      ammount of sugar from 6-7
      oranges. Granted its natural
and does not give your body
      the gigantic insulin spike,
      but its still not good.

Could you sit and eat 6-7
      oranges in a row? Why
would you want to injest the
      ammount of sugar from 6-7
      oranges then? Eat oranges,
dont drink the juice. Have a
      glass of water too.

      Makes sence people, fruit
      juices are NOT good for
you. Eat the fruit and take a
      vitamin and drink water. You
      will be better off.
