Not sure I have enough info to provide even a remotely confident opinion, but a few things I can ask about and comment on. 100 grams of protein per day is not overly excessive. (The 100 grams is total, correct and no beyond what you take in natural food?) 100 grams of protein amounts to 400 calories. And this seems to indicate the possible reason you've lost a bunch of weight. If you say you are on a protein heavy diet, and you are only getting in 400 calories there, then it's possible you are not getting enough calories over all. Look at your total caloric intake. If it's under 2000 calories, not surprise you are getting thin. With out further info, I'd say you need between 2000 and 2500 calories per day. To balance it out with your 100 grams of protein, I'd say you should also be getting 350 grams of carbs and 50 grams of fat. That actually gives you roughly 63% carb/17% protein/20% fat diet which is a good split by US govt standards. You may need even more grams of each to start putting weight back on. Hope that helps! I think to a good ratio to gain weight is 50/30/30 or some where around there. I've toyed with Macro ratios for years ad for the most part any reasonble balance works about the same. Try to eat about 12-15 times your Body weight. This will allow you to maintain and possible gain weight depending on your metabolic rate. If you were trying to lose weight you should never eat below 10XBodyweight. It unlikely your RMR or BMR(resting/Basil metabolic rate) is too much lower. Name: John L.
