Title: Water Retention I consider myself a human camel. I hold water like no tomorrow, even though I have a healthy low sodium diet, and do weights and cardio 5 days/week. I take a diuretic tea 3x/day, go to the sauna 3x/week for 10-15 minutes, and do my best to have 8 glasses of water a day. Any advice would be helpful, as much of my weight is in water. I'm approximately 18% body fat,and I would love to compete one day if I can reduce my water. Please help Name: Carrie Date: Nov. 27th, 2000 Title: Re: Water Retention You call that human camel? HAHAHAHA. I drink 1.5 galons a day. You really don't want to lose water. Human body is about 70% - 80% water. ( Side point, that is why when ppl are burned at the stake they sizzle :) ) Anyways.... you don't need to reduce water. Acctually for a woman you have very low body fat. You just prob need to work out more ? i am going to bet that you do same kind of a cardio program every day? ( Acctually 5 times a week is too much ) Try switching to different cardio programs every 2 -3 weeks. Also, weight-lift more. Weightlifting is an amazing fat burner ( some say, better then cardio ) AND DON"T STOP DRINKING! it is good for you.
