Title: Eating Prior To Workout. My husband has instructed me not to eat 1 hour prior to exercising and not to eat for 1 hour post exercising. He said that I could get cramps and/or an upset stomach. Is this true? If so, what should I do about breakfast? Name: Mary Date: Mar. 23rd, 2000 Title: Re: Eating Prior To Workout. Eat a protein meal before the workout, an hour or so. Eat a carb MEAL directly after within 10 minutes. 90 minutes later have more protein. They will help fuel your workout and provide adequate energy. Train hard, eat, rest, use supplements, and grow!
