Title: Thyroid Disorders And Weight

I was hyperthyroid/graves disease and had radiation in July of 1999 to obliterate the thyroid gland.I am currently waiting for my blood levels to change so my dr. can start me on a medicine to control blood levels. The problem is I have gained 40 pounds since the radiation and am having trouble losing the weight.I have been eating fat free, drinking lots of water and mild excersing for the past three weeks and have lost only 5 pounds. I really don't know what kind of meals to prepare to help.........any advice to move this process along????? thanks
