Post Eating DisordersFor 6 years I struggled with anorexia, bulimia, and exercise addiction. Now a good year into full recovery, I find myself searching for a balance between obsession and a normal program. As I don't always trust my own judgement, I wondered if anyone else could suggest a workout routine that would be healthy (I especially enjoy running). Also, I would like to lose 5-10 pounds of "post-wedding weight" that I gained around my marriage and honeymoon. I want to do this the right way, without triggering old behavior and thought patterns.
Thanks!

a) Begin a min 3 day a week (alternate days) weight training program
It has been very effective in promoting positive body image.(if u have never weight trained before it would make a lot of sense to consult a certified intsructor before u attempt it)
b) U have mentioned that u enjoy running which is a potent aerobic exercise but may i suggest that u use the cross training approach ie to do various forms of aerobic exercise like swimming cycling running walking
rowing aerobic_dancing steptraining etc never staying with one form of training for very long.
c) READ AND PRINT THE 10 RULES ABOVE (glue it on to u'r refrigerator door!!!)
