Title:
How Low Do I Go??!!Today is Day 21 of my 1,000 calories per day or less diet. My cals/day average is 961. (Yes, I'm taking a vitamin..can't possibly get nutrition like this.)
Over the last three weeks I have eaten ONLY things which have a calorie count on the box, AND come in pre-determined portion sizes. (Such as single serving oatmeal, diet TV dinner things.) The only foods which fall outside of this 'rule' are 1/2 tsp sugar (8), and 1 oz of skim milk (12), which I put in my coffee.
I HAVE NOT LOST ONE SINGLE POUND.
I am 38. I walk two miles a day. I am 5' 4". I weigh 153 lbs.
NOW what am I supposed to do?

You say you are walking 2 miles a day, but are you actually pushing yourself to get out of breath? I used to walk a lot and I didn't lose any weight after more than a year of doing so (but my legs looked very toned). I lost a lot of weight when I started running - not very far, usually 1 mile or occasionally 2. This meant that I was only doing about 8 minutes aerobic exercise 3 or 4 times a week - not enough according to most expert's guidelines, but it really did work. Also, I know this will probably scare you, but you might lose weight if you eat a bit more. Your body must think it is starving and your metabolism is going haywire. Good luck.

You need to read the info above the board here. And UP the calories to 1500 a day over 6 feedings.

I agree with the eating more/more calories.. I was a wrestler .. I would eat little, and gain weight... eat slightly less than normal and the pounds would fly off... 2-3 per day ... of course.. I do weigh almost 250 .... and can bench press 275 .. My weight will fluctuate 5 lbs per week, without changing a thing.. sometimes I don't understand it...
