Title: Protein...How Much Is Enough? In order to make good muscular gains, how much protein should I be eating. I weigh 165 and have heard everything from .36 grams of protrin per lb of bodywight to 1 gram per lb...quite a span there! Name: Ben Date: Jun. 9th, 1999 Title: Re: Protein...How Much Is Enough? Depends on if your lifting weights, and you goals. Are you trying to bulk up? Lose weight? The norm if your lifting moderate weights is 1g per pound. I eat 110-125g per day and I'm 5'2, 111lbs trying to gain more muscle (not bulk up) and I'm building muscle with protein only no hulk here or steriod lady... ;))) Too many of them...hahaha Anyhow hope to have helped.
