Hey, I am finishing up my last semester at school and I know how choosing the right things to eat in the cafateria is hard. I know that you definitely need to stay away from already prepared foods from the hot line. They are packed with saturated fat and way too many calories. Do you have a sandwich line. Turkey sandwiches etc. Also what are you putting on your salads and how big are they? A huge salad can sometime be more than eating those foods your trying to avoid. Portion size is the biggest thing. Just watch how many calories your taking in. Keep a food journal it helps tremendously. It takes time. im really into nutrtion I live off campus so I cook very healthy if you need any advice feel free to e-mail me. Good luck. Most veggies contain less calories than it takes to digest them because of the high fibre content. So the same type of calorie counting doesn't apply to salads unless you are adding egg, cheese, avacado etc.. The meal sounds okay, but try to add a little protein. If you have access to a stove ever. Boil up a dozen eggs and keep them in a mini fridge. Pop out the yolk and crumble it on your calad or eat it plain. Thank god for ziplock!
