Title: Collge Student Lookin For Help!

Hey Guys! My name is maria and i am a 18 year old colleg student. Recently, I've made the decision to get my life back on track by losing my unwanted weight. I've hit the gym every morning working with the school trainer and I have cut out the weekend parties with the college buddies. I feel great already and its only been two weeks!
I really want to establish a meal plan that will help aide me in my workout. I know that veggies and fruits and stuff is good, and bread is bad and so forth, but I'm curius as to if my lunch sounds safe
a large salad with fat free italian dressing and a cup of chicken noodle soup. Everyhing else in teh cafeteria here seems fatening..please help. Also, if you have suggestions plese let me know. Thanksfor the help!

Hey, I am finishing up my last semester at school and I know how choosing the right things to eat in the cafateria is hard. I know that you definitely need to stay away from already prepared foods from the hot line. They are packed with saturated fat and way too many calories. Do you have a sandwich line. Turkey sandwiches etc. Also what are you putting on your salads and how big are they? A huge salad can sometime be more than eating those foods your trying to avoid. Portion size is the biggest thing. Just watch how many calories your taking in. Keep a food journal it helps tremendously. It takes time. im really into nutrtion I live off campus so I cook very healthy if you need any advice feel free to e-mail me. Good luck.

I'm a nutritionist by trade. Most veggies contain less calories than it takes to digest them because of the high fibre content. So the same type of calorie counting doesn't apply to salads unless you are adding egg, cheese, avacado etc.. The meal sounds okay, but try to add a little protein. If you have access to a stove ever. Boil up a dozen eggs and keep them in a mini fridge. Pop out the yolk and crumble it on your calad or eat it plain. Thank god for ziplock!
