You could even try protein bars and shakes, but if you I dont think the taste will be too your liking. For whoever told you Oatmeal is good for you for weight gain, it is high in fiber and fiber blocks the absorbtion of fats and carbs. Believe it or not you do need soem carbs. Carb starts insulin spikes in your body and insulin is what distrubutes everything to you musclecells for growth. There is alot more to learn, but hopefully this will get you on your way. Good luck Name: David Date: Sep. 15th, 2002 Title: Re: Picky..Picky..Picky!!! Hi Tammy, I'm not sure which of the things you most want to address. Foods? The area below your belly button? If it's the later, I have some advice just based on my own experience. Not that spot toning can slim down a particular area. . .but if you are doing situps to firm up your belly area then watch your form. I learned (the hard way) if you don't concentrate on keeping your lower back pressed to the floor and your abs tight and in (as best you can) you can actually build ab muscles that pooch out. Practicing keeping your abs in throughout the day while walking, sitting, doing aerobics, etc. will also help your lower abs tighten inward. One more thing that has helped me alot is doing a variety of abs: crunches, single leg lifts, crossovers, obliques, etc, (please excuse my spelling!). Good Luck! Tammy wrote: > Hello there!
