Title: Wieght Stablizing - Need Help! Hi hope you can help, I run 25-30miles a week and do wieghts about 2-3times a week. I eat very healthy meals every 3-4hours and drink alot of water. I am 5'5 and wiegh 145lbs. I have lost 15 pounds but am unable to lose any more. My wieght loss has stablized. My goal wieght is 130lbs. I can't take any of those supplements that contain ephedra, ephedrine or Ma Huang. Any suggestions on what I can do to get the wieght down further. I always seem to stablize at this wieght. I also feel that if I eat less I won't have the strength to maintain my workout routine. Are there any supplements out there that DO NOT have any side effects that can give me a little boost on the wieght loss end? As to the first, it may be the foods you are eating are not conducive to as much weight loss as you are looking to endure. Try this: eat every 2-3 hours instead for a month, and have a "portion" of a protein and a good carb (i.e. sweet potato, brown rice, strawberries, melon, orange, apples, whole wheat bread) in each meal and have vegetables in 2 of those meals. A portion is the size of your closed fist. Also have 1 tbsp of olive oil each day or eat salmon 3 times per week. If you are not eating like this, the diet should definitely inhibit add'l weight loss. As for body fat, your ratios may already be down far enough where the body maintains just enough fat for energy and survival. Don't worry about the supplements, the diet should provide enough energy. Also, you might want to consider cutting 1 day of weight lifting out of your regimen. Muscle weighs more than fat so perhaps you can shed some weight by minimizing the muscle weight on your body. Also, you said you run 25-30 miles per week. In how many days? BOTTOM LINE: ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOURSELF WHEN YOU LOOK IN THE MIRROR. Don't be so worried about weights, just be happy with how you look. If you think you have some excess cellulite that needs to go, get rid of it. If not, then don't.
