Title: Dorm Food Stinks! Hi there! I am trying to lose weight and I have been exercising but it's hard to eat right in the dorms. There aren't many options! What should I do? Is eating salads enough nutrition? I need help! Name: Allison Date: Jan. 16th, 2002 Title: Agreed I was in college not too long ago.. and I gained alot of weight because of it. Don't fall into the same trap! Avoid the freshman 15.. I know its hard they have fast food galore, pizza, etc etc. They should have at least some healthy options available however, but it's up to you to choose to eat them. I'm working on losing some weight myself.. and I've just been eating say a bowl of cereal for breakfast or some eggs. For lunch, a salad with chicken in it, and for dinner - brown rice, chicken/fish/turkey, and another salad or some steamed veggies. Your school should have similar stuff available.. u know what isn't good for you -- flour/white breads, foods full of sugar. You need to get some regular exercise too.. and trust me it helps with school stress..
