Title: Vegetarian Diet

Hello. I am a vegetarian, but I don't think that I am all that healthy. What should I load up on and what should I cut down on? I want to get more protein into my diet. If you know of any good vegetarian cook books, that would be helpful too!

    Allie,

I guess that no-one can tell you what to cut out unless you can say what you are eating. It is certainly possible to have an unhelthy vegetarian diet. A site that might help with a few recipies and information is http://www.vegweb.com/

To get more protein, soy products are useful, as are beans. Cheese and nuts are good sources, but contain relatively high amounts of fats, so it's best to limit the amount of protein you get from them.
