Title: Gaining Fat...!

Hi...

I am 20 years old and about 1.80 meters tall..

But, I have a weight of 71 kg and seem slim...

Before beginning a fitness session, I thought that gaining fat is more reasonable ...

Because than I can turn those fats into muscles....

But, I cannot find the true nutrition that will take me up to about 87 kg....

I drink honey periodically and try to eat all types of vegetables.....

But, There is no change...

What factors affect my weight ...?

How can I gain weight in an healthy way....?

Please help me...

Fat does not turn into muscle. Unless you have a extremely low bodyfat, under 8%, I see no reason to purposely put on fat. Start your routine (make sure it is a good one, consult Training section for this) and start eatting. Best thing would be to make and follow a meal plan. Eat healthy food, and stop drinking honey. Follow this for a week, if you do not notice any weight change by the end of the week, increase calories by 200. If by the end of the week you have gained too much, decrease by 200 calories. The most important thing I learnt about fitness is that diet is everything.

Gaining fat is really not advisable. You'll end up with blood vessel clogging goo! Instead, if you really want to bulk up, you'll have to work on a combination of weight training and a diet that helps build muscles, rather than fat. Taking honey and vegetables is a good start but it will never provide you with the nutrition to bulk up. Protein is needed but more importantly, weight training so that you muscles can be developed. I assume that one of the reasons why you cannot gain weight is because your metabolism is high. As such, your carbohydrate diet will just get burned quickly. Weight training will provide you the avenue for increasing bulk through muscle build-up and a protein diet will help repair the body as you build it up with the exercise program. Good luck!
