Title: A Little Help Please.

I am a 17 year old girl, and I need to loose weight. I am finally confident and happy about who I am but now I just need to match my outsides with my insides. I am trying to loose a lot of weight and tone up a lot, but I need to know what foods to absolutly stay away, I don't eat red meat or pork, and I am not very big on sweets, however i love pasta, bread, cereal and stuff like that, I feel that those may be the problems. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much.

The most important thing to remember when trying to lose weight is that you need to burn more calories than you ingest. Eating pasta and other carbs is okay as long as its in moderation - however you should try to incorporate protein into your diet also, eg. eggs, peanut butter, tuna. Also, it is important to combine cardio exercise with weight training each week. I hope this helps!

You are actually on the right track. Not having the cravings for meat is good and a high-carbohydrate diet is equally sound. But, the key is portion control and exercise. Energy balance is needed to make sure calorie loss is attained. If you eat carbohydrates, you need to burn it off. Start with walking after meals. If you go to school, be more active -- use the stairs, walk home, walk at the mall, stop using the tv remote, etc. -- anything to get you more active. Drink lots of water or fluids. That's should also lower your cravings. If you add vegetables to diet, or any fiber-rich food, it will also help the feeling of fullness. Stop eating when you feel full. In a few months time, you'll see results and will be on your way to a fantastic figure. Good luck!
