Title: TOO SKINNY

My name is val and i want to gain weight. I hear a lot of people talking about how to lose weight, but nobody talks about how to gain weight. I am 5'6'', and i only weigh 115 lbs. I want to gain 20 lbs, and I need to know what foods can i eat to gain weight, and what are the proper eating habits for gaining weight without becoming unhealthy.

Hi Val, 5'6" and 115, you sound like a very healthy young lady. Taking advice from a person with the email name of cookiehoncho doesn't sound to smart, but I think most will agree with me. I would suggest you stay away from the cardio exercise and use proper wieght training and eat lots of protein and dairy products. This will build muscle and strengthen bone. If you put on 20 pounds of muscle from your current weight through exercise and diet you will be a sight to behold!

Val, if you are having trouble gaining weight you may want to get your thyroid level checked. It's just simple blood work that your doctor can order. An overactive thyroid can make it difficult to gain weight, but has other more serious consequences to your health.
