Rep Power: 0 | | | beginner questions about workout schedule Hi, I'm new here, these forums have already been a great help. I'm 19, 190 lb, I think I have decent core strength, mostly working on fat loss. I just had some quick questions.
I've been trying to work out 4 to 5 days every day but there's overlap, is that bad? For example, I do lateral raises one day and the next day I do shoulder press. I don't really know much at all, is it bad to do it this way? I'm want to revise my workout schedule, would something like this be ok?
Mon - 30-40 min cardio, 10-15 mins HIIT, abs
Tues - lifting (upper and lower body), 30-40 min cardio
Wed - 30-40 min cardio, 10-15 mins HIIT, abs
Thurs - lifting (upper and lower body), 30-40 min cardio
Fri - 30-40 min cardio, 10-15 mins HIIT, abs
I do the 30 -40 min cardio on elliptical and HIIT on a bike.
I guess my main question is doing a full body weight lifting workout just twice a week enough? I'm still stuck in this beginner mindset of doing as much as possible.
Thanks! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Is that too much? Dunno, I remember reading that doing 5 to 7 days of cardio is optimal? Haha, I'll be glad to cut back if I don't need it. Thanks for your help. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I think 4-5 is best. So maybe just lift on Tuesday and Thursday..
