Rep Power: 10 | | Count your calories. http://www.fitday.com/ - Can get a fair estimation using that. How tall are you? You may think you don't eat much but some foods can suprise you. Sometimes I have trouble breaking 2k calories in a day and a couple days ago I had a meal that was about 900 by itself.
How tall are you and and how much cardio do you do? Working your butt if is good, but only if you're doing it right. Need high intensity cardio. Otherwise it may be difficult just to burn the calories you eat in a day, let alone burn MORE (which is the only way to lose weight).
Oh.. and I'm trying to gain weight.. so on the off chance theres a way to switch genetics... ahhh... oh well. Sucks, but lots of cardio is the only real way. |

I'm not familliar with treadmill speed settings (arent they all different?) Do you walk or run on the treadmill? Walking on the job is a plus. Half the calories a person burns in a day is from regular activity. Cardio and exercise are a small boost, but the longer effects of muscle and cardio burn are the prize.
If your diet's good I guess the only thing left to do is to try increasing the cardio. Maybe tossing in some calesthenics. |

Rep Power: 9 | | | i jog on the tridmill and then run and i take walking breaks in between! it seems like i don't have enough time in a day to put some more time on the tredmill... i'm looking into buying a good aerobics dvd to learn and have fun with... hopefully that would work.. cross my fingers! |

But as for working out, do cardio-vascular, if you don't know what that would qualify as then tell me and I will explain. But if I were you I would do cardio 1 hour every other day, or if you have the time every day. |

Rep Power: 9 | | Actually your diet looks like the problem. If your calories are too low and you are not getting enough nutrients, your body will respond by slowing your metabolism. It doesn't look like you get nearly enough whole grains or proteins. You really need to increase your caloric intake and balance it out more. Fruit is fine, but too much fruit can actually cause you to gain weight (the sugar content of fruit is pretty high).
Another thing you need to do (and added calories will help you with this) is put some weight training in your routine. Start off slow and do weights at least twice a week. I hope this helps. |

You could also mix up your workout a bit by doing different cardio routines. I find Tae Bo to be quite effective and fun. Also bike riding, elliptical or as you mentioned an aerobic tape.
Also, the weight training will help build more lean muscle tissue, which will increase your metabolism and burn more calories. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
