Hi!a quick tip to keep yourself dedicated!tonight, you should buy a fitness magazine, cut out the pics of some of the women, and stick them to your refridgerator.Evry time you go to get an ice cream or a pizza or french fries, youll see the pic of what you want to be.Top bodybuilders do this all the time. They put their main rivals pic up and it keeps them motivated and dedicated.Or you could try joining a sports team.Setting goals for your self plus being part of a team gives you a reason to train and a reason to get fit, plus it gives you a good workout.Try it!!

Have to disagree with the previous poster. (I know he means well though!).. I can't think of something more unmotivating than trying to reach some ideal 99.9% of people can't obtain.

However, instead of taking pictures of incredibly "in shape" people (I put that in quotes because many people look good and are in shape without being in a magazine), take an honest picture of yourself in a bathing suit. Then after working out and starting to feel unmotivated, take the picture out.. you'll see the improvement you've made and hopefully find new energy.

Also a way to keep motivated is to keep an activity/nutrition log. Then you can look back at it and see all the good things you've done.

One other point, it's OK to take a day off as a rejuvenation day every now and then... Try a cardio activity you haven't done in a while as a change of pace as well... Heck if you are feeling deprived, go out for a meal as a one time reward for the weeks of work you've put in.

    Hope these ideas helped.

Re-reading comments and noticed I may have overstated something.

I think the idea of visualization of where you want to get too is a good idea and using pictures of people with those characteristics can help in such visualization. Just wanted to caution against trying to meld your body completely to someone elses.

Wanted to clear that up before someone called me on it. =)
