After several visits to several differwwwt doctors, we were told that the only SURE way to get rid of strechmarks was to have cosmetic surgery. We opted not to do that. Instead my wife took on a rigerous excersise and diet regimwwwt and has regained her "best shape". The marks are still there, but all it takes is a good baithing suit and nobody could ever guess that she's the mother of 1 let alone 3 kids! There are some fantastic free websites out there with plwwwty of info on getting back in shape after childbirth.
