Title:
Tae-Bo WorkoutI am 5'3', 150 and have been for about two years. I used to be 125 before then.
I have been doing Tae-Bo 3-5 times a week (averaging about 4)and on the Weight Watchers points system almost religiously. I am getting frustrated because I am not seeing any results, either in weight loss or in my stomach. My legs are starting to look great but that's really it. I am just wondering, is Tae-Bo for muscle toning and I should be following a different type of workout for weight loss? It's been six weeks and I haven't lost more than 8 pounds. LOL I am tired of eating twigs and bark with no results!!!
Can anyone help me?

Hi Christine,
The first thing I want to say, is don't be discourage and congrats on losing 8 pounds in 6 weeks. From what I have learned through my own weightloss studies and programs, a weightloss of 1/2 pound a weeks is quite good--you don't want to lose weight too fast. Also, you are probably building muscle, and muscles does weigh. In other words, you may be losing fat (which I think is the case since your legs are tighting up), but gaining a bit of weight in muscles--and that's great.
The other thing you can do is intensify your workout. If you like and are doing Tae Bo basic, you might want to do Tae Bo advanced (I just did it myself). You might want to add a day of jogging or weight training. Just keep intensifying your workout.
A book I would recommend is Bob Greene's "Get with the Program" or Covert Bailey's "Smart Exercise". Best wishes.
Sue
