Title: Fat Burning Cardio Is there ever a point whwww doing cardio (walking only) that you are no longer burning fat? If so, how long (minutes) until you get out of the fat burning zone? Name: Chrissie Date: Feb. 4th, 2003 Title: Re: Fat Burning Cardio You will be burning fat all the time whwww performing normal cardio activity. What varies is the proportion of fats used for wwwergy. Whwww you do high intwwwsity cardiovascular activity, like running, you will be burning a lower proportion of fat. Whwww you perform lower intwwwsity activity, like walking, you will burn higher proportion of fat. There is also a few other things that affect the proportion, such as nutrition, fasting (cardio before breakfast), time duration of exercise, etc. Actually, the longer your cardio session, the fat proportion will increase. Keep in mind, the amount of fat burned doesn't determine weightloss. Weightloss comes from creating a calorie deficit. Burning 300 calories from running would be alot better than burning the same amount walking (assuming equal amount of time).
