Need For Xenadrine?I hear a lot of people take Xenadrine, but I'm very skeptical. What are the pro's/con's to it? I didn't see any real changes when I tried hydroxycut (just that I felt shaky)...what is the Xenadrine hype about? Do those of you that take it really believe that it helps?

Hydroxycut and Xenadrine are basically the same thing. They both contain the basic ECA stack plus ingredients that decrease appetite, increase core temperature, etc. Hydroxycut is extremely expensive, while xenadrine is relatively cheaper. The cheapest way to get the effects of a "fat burner" would be to build it from the ground up. You can buy ephedra, caffeine and other ingredients by themselves at certain stores. Ephedra is a mimic to epinephrine and norepinephrine (can be known as adrenaline). Thus it causes increase in lipolysis, glycolysis, cardiac activity, neural efficiency, etc. Theoretically, pros of this would be that it increase fat burning (lipolysis) and neural efficiency which can lead to increased strength (which is why it is banned from competition). Cons are that it will increase your cardiac activity and vasoconstriction.
So theoretically it will have an effect, the question is how much. I never had any negative side effects taking a name brand of building an ECA stack by itself. I also did not notice much, if any, of a difference going off them. The product is extremely hyped, and like most supplements, people have no idea what is really does. For most people it would probably act more as a placebo because it will get people interested in fitness. For example, how many people that report huge gains on creatine just start taking creatine? They start training more, getting more sleep, eatting alot more, etc. They do all this stuff and attribute it to a supplement. I think it is the same case for an ECA stack. In my opinion, they are extremely expensive, and will provide little difference.
